Free Podcast treat features spooky stories read by BTE members at bteoddcast.org
Bloomsburg, PA — Starting Monday, October 26, Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble will be presenting the BTE "Oddcast", a Podcast featuring BTE actors reading a variety spooky stories for the Halloween season. All episodes of the podcast can be found at www.bteoddcast.org. There is no charge to listen.
"People in the Bloomsburg region and beyond have been so generous in their support of the company in recent months," said BTE Communications Director Peter Wiley, "that Ensemble members wanted to say 'thank you' with a performance even though we can't have audiences in the theatre right now." "Round About the Cauldron: A BTE Oddcast," Wiley explained, is the first of those efforts.
A new Podcast episode will be released every day, October 26 through October 31. Stories will include:
The Tell Tale Heart by Edgar Allen Poe, read by Amy Byrne.
The Landlady by Roald Dahl, read by Danny Roth.
A special episode for kids will feature Elizabeth Dowd reading Heckedy Peg by Audrey Wood and "Sop Doll!" From The Jack Tales adapted Richard Chase. Eric Wunsch will read "The Trouble" and "The Ghost with the Bloody Fingers" from Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark adapted by Alvin Schwartz.
The Cats of Ulthar by H.P. Lovecraft will be read by James Goode together with Are You Digging My Grave?, a poem by Thomas Hardy.
The Staircase by Soren Narnia from the podcast Knifepoint Horror will be read by Andrew Hubatsek.
Visitors to www.bteoddcast.org will be able to view a short video introduction of each episode presented by "Princent Vice" (played by James Goode) and "Princent Vice III" (played by Eric Wunsch).
