The Miracle Worker
Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble strives to make its performances and facilities accessible to all audience members and visitors. For additional information or to ask questions, need assistance or an accommodation not listed below, please contact us at 570-784-8181, or email accessibility@bte.org.
Ushers at the Alvina Krause Theatre are available to help patrons who need assistance reaching their seat.
Limited reserved wheelchair seating is available in the ATK. Please call the BTE box office at 570-487-8181 to inquire about the availability of wheelchair seating for a specific performance prior to purchasing tickets. BTE will make every effort to set up to three companions of patrons using wheelchairs in adjacent seats.
Both the men’s and women’s restrooms can accommodate patrons in wheelchairs.
Large print programs are available at the Alvina Krause Theatre for all season performances one week after a production has officially opened. You may request a large-print program from any usher or box-office staff person when you arrive at the theatre.
Other BTE print materials will be made available in alternate formats with at least two weeks notice. To request an alternate format, please contact the box office by email at accessibility@bte.org.
High-Magnification (2.8x) sport glasses for vision enhancement are available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis from the ATK House Manager.
For select shows, BTE offers performances interpreted via American Sign Language. Information about the schedule of interpreted performances is available by calling the BTE box office or emailing accessibility@bte.org.
BTE is in the process of acquiring and installing an assisted listening system in the Alvina Krause Theatre. The radio-based assistive listening system will amplify and clarify sound by reducing extraneous noise.
When the system is installed, assistive listening devices will be made available of a first-come first-served basis and will be available from the House Manager.
BTE designates specific performances of select shows as “relaxed performances.” Although open to all, a relaxed performance is intentionally modified to accommodate patrons who experience heightened sensory input, who experience anxiety, have dementia or learning differences, or who are on the autistic spectrum.
For a schedule of relaxed performances during the current season, please contact the box office or email accessibility@bte.org.
