There are a number of ways to buy tickets and discounts are available for students, young adults, seniors, and groups.

All seating at the Alvina Krause Theatre is reserved unless otherwise announced.

Pay What You Decide

Unless otherwise announced, the first two performances of all BTE-produced plays are pay what you decide. You may reserve pay-what-you-decide tickets using our Online ordering system.

Single Tickets

The price of a single ticket is

  • $16 for persons age 13 and under
  • $26 for persons age 14-30 and 65 and over
  • $30 for all others.

Different prices may apply for certain shows. Please consult show-specific information to check for pricing changes.


Sustainer Pay $10 a month by credit card or EFT for one year and see all our shows. If you'd like, you can attend a show more than once, and your first drink from our concession stand is free at every show you attend.

Producer Pay $20 a month by credit card or EFT for one year and see all our shows and attend our premiere fund-raising events The Taming of the Brew and Tree Fest.

Ticket Packages

Buy a number of tickets that can be used for any show during the season.

  • 6 ticket package: $130, a 30% savings over the adult single ticket price.
  • 12 ticket package: $235, a 65% savings over the adult single ticket price.

Shows+Events Package

Buy 8 tickets good for shows or fundraising events for $270.

Senior and Young Adult Package Discounts

If you are between the ages of 23 and 30, or if you are 65 or over, you may purchase 6 tickets for $120, a savings of 67% over the adult single ticket price.

Group Discounts

For groups of 8 or more persons, ticket prices are

  • $16 for persons age 14 and over
  • $9 for persons age 13 and under.

BU Student Discount

By special arrangement with BU's CGA, any Bloomsburg University student may purchase a ticket for $10 with a current, valid BU student identification card.

How to Buy Tickets

Tickets may be purchased via our secure online ordering system, or in person at the BTE box office at the Alvina Krause Theatre, 226 Center Street, Bloomsburg PA 17815.

During the run of a show, our box office hours are 2 p.m.-6 p.m.

Tickets can also be purchased over the phone during box office hours: 570-784-8181. When calling please have your credit card ready.

BTE accepts payment in the form of cash and most major credit cards.

Ticketing FAQs

I tried to purchase a ticket online, but it looks like something went wrong. What should I do? Call the box office for assistance.

If I buy a ticket, can I get a cash refund if I decide not to see the show? No. However, you may exchange your ticket for a later performance. Ticket exchanges must be made in person no later than two hours before the show for which the original ticket was purchased.

Are children permitted to attend performances at BTE? With the exception of shows produced for children and their families, children under 5 are not admitted. Babes-in-arms are not admitted under any circumstance.

How can I find out if a show is appropriate for my child? Consult the description we've provided for each show. If you have questions, box-office staff will be happy to advise you prior to your ticket purchase.

I am bringing someone in a wheelchair to see a show. Will I be able to sit with them? Yes, probably. Companion seating is available at the ATK, but limited. Please call the box-office prior to your ticket purchase to ensure it will be available for the date you wish to attend.

My tickets are being held at the box office. Do I need I need to show an ID to pick them up? Yes, when picking up tickets at the will-call stand in the AKT lobby you will be asked to present some form of identification. Please have your ID or credit card ready before arriving at the will call stand.

What happens if I am late to a performance? Late seating is solely at the discretion of house management for all performances, and late seating policies are subject to change per production. Ticketed seat locations are not guaranteed past the schedule curtain time printed on tickets.
