BTE offers a wide variety of arts education for people of all ages. Education, for us, isn't an afterthought or an additional arm of BTE - it's essential to our core values and mission.
We offer classes for kids 5+ all the way to adulthood, as well as internships, school programming, and our annual educational theatrical tour, Theatre In the Classroom, which has been seen by hundreds of thousands of kids since 1978.

BTE Theatre School offers a range of classes, workshops, and camps designed to teach the fundamentals of the theater arts on an age-appropriate basis: critical reading, aesthetic analysis, creative thinking and problem solving, collaboration, theatre technology, oral interpretation, movement, and more.
Inventors and Inventions, TIC 2018
TIC shows are original works presented in an animated story-theatre style featuring imaginative props, costumes, music, and student participation followed by a lively post-performance discussion.

Project Discovery is BTE's comprehensive theatre education program with a simple yet powerful mission: make sure every student from every high school in the five counties surrounding Bloomsburg attends professional performances by the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble at least once a year free of charge.
Ensemble member Eric Wunsch teaches a workshop in BTE's scene shop.
Each fall, BTE hosts area high school students interested in theatre for a day of workshops taught by the Ensemble, staff, and other theatre and related arts professionals.
Topics include: screen acting, audition techniques, charachter work, musical theatre styles, dialect training, stage makeup, and lighting for the stage.
BTE mentors high school students each season for our high school internship program. Students spend time with the actors and production staff, learning their craft and working backstage during the mainstage shows.
