Project Discovery is BTE's comprehensive theatre education program with a simple yet powerful mission: make sure every student from every high school in the five counties surrounding Bloomsburg attends professional performances by the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble at least once a year free of charge.
The goals of Project Discovery are simple:
Since 1994, thanks to the generous support of area businesses, corporations, and foundations, over 44,000 students have attended performances at Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble
Project Discovery schools are the high schools located in the five counties served by Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit 16: Columbia, Union, Northumberland, Snyder, and Montour.
Owing to restrictions imposed as the result of the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, Project Discovery is on hiatus for the foreseeable future. Project Discovery performances will resume when it is safe for BTE welcome young audiences back to the Alvina Krause Theatre.
